NSS-YRC-RRC – Program

NSS

The NSS units of TMG College College of Arts & Science functions under the NSS of the University of Madras. Some of the social service projects currently are carried out with TANSACS Club, Abstinence Club, Helping the 30 Blind, Helping Hands, Shelter Home, Pink Warriors project and village adoption project. NSS Volunteers generally work in villages, slums and voluntary agencies to complete 120 hours of regular activities during an academic year. They participate in government activities like Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Sadbhavana Diwas_ Communal Harmony day and Swatch Bharat program. 7 day residential camp is also organized as part of NSS special activities.

 Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by Government of India in educational institutions to create awareness of Àids.

RRC

RRC Club of TMG College of Arts & Science aims to harness the potential of youth by equipping them with correct information on preventive of HIV. Visit to HIV homes and Talks by Doctors and positive people is part of our activities. Youth Red Cross of TMGCAS conducts Blood donation camps, eye camps, First Aid and Fire safety programs for students on campus.
